Dr.
Fran Tunney
Medical Director
Dr Tunney, who as medical director is responsible for
all aspects of medical operations at Patient ONE, received
his B.S. degree in Biology from Roanoke College in 1978
and is a graduate of the Master’s Degree program
in Physiology from Georgetown University in 1982.
Dr. Tunney graduated with an MD degree
from the University of Maryland in 1986 and completed
his residency in Internal Medicine and Primary Care
at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1989. Dr. Tunney
is a recent member of the MUSC Emergency Medicine faculty,
served as mentor to dozens of students, and has given
lectures and published articles related to Emergency
Medicine and Primary Care.
Our urgent care
center is staffed only by highly-trained, competent physicians.
Unlike other local and national urgent care centers, all
of our physicians are graduates of American medical schools,
residency-trained and board-certified.
